We the people at LEADS Ranchi truly believe that the foundation for future prosperity is built on the bedrock of education. To bring the marginalized and underprivileged at par with rest of the society, Project SRIJAN was conceptualized.
In the wake of the 2008 Kosi floods, LEADS adopted 22 children from various flood relief camps across Bihar. We had pledged to meet all their needs and provide a quality education so that they could grow into smart and responsible individuals.
In 2009, 15 underprivileged girls hailing from Below Poverty Line (BPL), Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories were selected to receive education at SIS Ranchi. The idea behind this project is the empowerment of the girl child.
LEADS Ranchi is a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of education in rural and tribal areas across Jharkhand. We believe in the right of all children to have a fair opportunity to lead a better life. This can be achieved essentially by protecting the right to education of all children. It is our job to get all children in school and learning, and we take it very seriously.
An estimated 617 million children worldwide do not have the minimum literacy skills of reading and mathematics – even though two-thirds of them are in school. Education is the most powerful tool one can use to profoundly unlock one’s ability to change his or her place in life, fight poverty and alleviate diseases.
Through our projects, we lead the children in need by solving a real problem in a fresh, simple way – promoting equity in educational opportunities, life, work and active citizenship for all.
We make sure that our children are happy, healthy and creative.
All the money donated goes directly to our projects to educate more children.
A radical approach is followed that focuses on enhancing learning in a conducive environment supplemented with trained teachers, adequate learning materials and sanitation facilities.
We extend education opportunities to the hardest-to-reach children who are excluded on the basis of gender, poverty, ethnicity and language, as well as those who are displaced or affected by emergencies
